Naah. Not really. The hard part is figuring out how to correctly change all shell scripts that start with #!/bin/sh to use the portage-provided sh instead, all perl scripts that start with #!/usr/bin/perl or #!/usr/bin/env perl to use the portage-provided perl instead, how to fix all autotools checks which look in /usr/lib first and so on. From an ebuild perspective, which is where most of the work will be, asking portage just where it *should* look is really just a sidenote that needs to be documented somewhere. --=20 Ciaran McCreesh : Gentoo Developer (Vim, Shell tools, Fluxbox, Cron) Mail : ciaranm at gentoo.org Web : http://dev.gentoo.org/~ciaranm --Signature_Thu__19_May_2005_09_30_02_+0100_w1D3pBulkHtZtEHG Content-Type: application/pgp-signature -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.1 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFCjE6M96zL6DUtXhERAgvwAKDIfog0J9kszEW3U5KJYLFd9ETWOgCfQ6UC ol+dUuzZ0BLGoLJmNyEHeqE= =yC6Y -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --Signature_Thu__19_May_2005_09_30_02_+0100_w1D3pBulkHtZtEHG-- -- gentoo-dev@gentoo.org mailing list
