Yesterday I tried to emerge the eq-xmms plugin, and it kept failing because it didn't know where to find xmms's "Effect" directory. I had to manually untar, ./configure with a --libdir switch, and install it, but then any time I tried to use the new equalizer plugin, take my time to adjust 25 channels, listen to a few tunes then exit xmms, something in the config file got corrupted because xmms would segfault trying to start up after that; deleting the /home/user/.xmms/config file was the only thing that helped. -- Ian Douglas http://www.w98.us/ -- gentoo-dev@gentoo.org mailing list
