IMO, www-proxy should be renamed to net-proxy, for allowing me to move
various SOCKS packages into it.
The packages qualified for moving are:
- net-misc/3proxy
- net-misc/dante
- net-misc/nylon
- net-misc/tsocks
I also think now is the time for creating another category containing
all types of tunnels found in net-misc
Thoughts?

Leave as is. Read the metadata.xml for www-proxy:
The www-proxy category contains network proxy software.
Best,
Elfyn

I am aware of that. However, in the event I move socks to this category,
the name is misleading. I will not move 'em unless the name is changed.

Just because the category is prefixed with 'www' ? That's silly (imo), but
hey, it's your choice...
Best,
Elfyn

I wouldn't search for socks proxy software in a www category either.
net-proxy sounds much more appealing.

Especially since there is more to proxy in a network than just www traffic
(EGADS, say it isn't so!!!) :)

Were you, hypothetically, to do this, remember to update the categories
and updates file in such a way that cvs->rsync doesn't kick in whilst
you're in the middle of the move. Because you wouldn't want to break the
tree now, would you?

I've done it in following manner:
- add & commit the new net-proxy category
- update profiles with s/www-proxy/net-proxy/g
- changed dependancies of other ebuilds to net-proxy
- removed www-proxy
Sorry if it took too long. I had a problem with repoman. Since creation
of metadata.xml at category level, it wants to create
metadata.xml/Manifest...
I will fill a bug about it
