My super-secret plan is this: 
make gtk2 USE flag default.


wait 3 months

deprecate gtk2 USE flag, add "gtk-classic" or "deprecated-and-broken"
USE flag, and use that for cases where both are avaiable to select the
old gtk+-1.2 interface.

Ain't It much better? ;)
