-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----

Hi all:
I just wanted to update everyone on the bugzilla update. Bugzilla 2.17.2 is up
and running on my own server (bugs.uberdavis.com) with a dummy gentoo
database (i took a snapshot of the real database a week or so back). Please
test, and let me know if you find any errors. Please keep in mind that this
is a temporary server, and it is not designed for massive loads, so please
excuse its "blazing" speeds ;-)

Cheers,
//zhen

Due to the constant emails about a new bugzilla release I decided to
give in and update to 2.17.6. I tested bugzilla before putting it in
production and only had some minor problems which lasted about 15
minutes. Other than that everything transistioned nicely, I also added a
new resolution status "NOTOURBUG" to make things more organized instead
of "WONTFIX" which has other characteristics. If you've noticed
something out of sync or not quite right, please feel free to email me.

wouldnt it be better to use 'UPSTREAM' ?
not our bug seems to convey the wrong connotation ...

Two things:

First, the "View Bugs Reported Today" link off the front page seems to
be reporting far more than just "Today's" bugs. Seems like it might be
reporting all bugs from the time of upgrade or something?

Second, the page titles for results of stored queries used to be the name
of the stored query. For example, I have a couple of different views of
the games@g.o bugs that I keep up all the time. Now all lists of bugs from
stored queries or manual queries have the page title of "Bug List" which
isn't as helpful when I have 5 or 6 tabs of "Bug List" to choose from.

Thanks,

Michael Sterrett

Okay it took me a minute to figure out the "quicksearch" at the main
page at bugs.gentoo.org. It was a javascript error for the newer
browsers but it's now fixed Bug 33283.
Lisa's issue about bug_status.html was going through an update as well
to make changes to reflect our current settings, they were the standard
bugzilla before and no one ever took the time to edit it.
Mr_Bones, first issue taken care of one more to go!
Vapier's issue revolving around the NOTOURBUG vs UPSTREAM... I chose
the familar resolution I've seen at other sites, there was a bug
revolving around it on bugs.gentoo.org which I closed last night due to
the upgrade, might have been better to have mentioned it in there before
I upgraded. Now we'll have to wait until next upgrade and vote for it
then.
Mholzer can you confirm this bug yours because I got bug #33283 just
fine, it could have been when I was trying to fix the bug that mail
wasn't sent. The reason it wasn't able to send mail before was because
of the templates that we had in place where corrupted but I managed to
fix them all before this upgrade.

I just got a notification that I added an attachment to a bug 8 hours after
the fact. I have not elected to receive notifications of changes that I make.

Regards,
Jason
