Hi,
I have been trying to get the redhat-artwork ebuild updated for sometime. I
have fixed the current ebuild in portage to work with the latest one. However
I'm having difficulty getting this finished off. I have tried contacting the
person the bug is assigned to and have had no reply, or comment on the bug
for 6 days.
What do I need to do to get some progress on this?
Thanks,
Simon

I would suggest the hardest solution of all... have patience.
Most of us, if not all of us, have other obligations in life which
sometimes take precidence over Gentoo-related things. I would wait
another week or two and see what happens. You could find out that the
maintainer adds your ebuild tomorrow, or next week, but some patience is
always the first course of action. If after a couple weeks of
non-movement, then and only then would I try contacting the developer
directly. Remember that we have jobs and families, too. :]

I understand this completely, I would have just appreciated a tiny bit
of feedback, even if it is just to say its busy and will get sorted out.
Apologies if this sounded rude, I'm quite new to this whole thing, and
probably have little idea as to how busy developers could be.

Simon,
As Chris said, life has been getting in the way of Gentoo dev'ing at
the moment.
I have replied to Bug #32378.
I was unsuccessful in getting redhat-artwork to build against kde-3.2 so I
have had to build a VM with kde-3.1 to test it.
The updated ebuild should be committed to cvs in the next day or two.
Once again, thankyou for your patience (and for the prod :) )
