Hi everybody,

The time is near now, I've basically completed all work on the main
qmail ebuild. So, it's time for a lot of testing now.

A lot of improvements have been made to qmail between the -r10 and -r12
releases.

QMTP client support
ESMTP SIZE support
Properly FIXED STARTTLS/SSL support (there was a bug before that caused
mail to be delayed for upwards of 6 hours before a fallback to non-SSL)
SMTP AUTH (both for incoming email and outgoing emails)
badrcptto/morebadrcptto support
POP3 CAPA command support
Maildir++ support
Localtime dates
A bunch of patches to reduce spammer tactics that abused qmail.
Lots more documentation and manpages.
A good many other changes.

Configuration of all the new changes is now made possible by the
/var/qmail/control/conf-* files.
Following the few instructions in them and uncommenting relevant lines
allow you to easily setup many requested qmail features, such as SMTP
AUTH for incoming mail, SMTP after IMAP/POP3.

After you emerge the update, please pay attension to the messages, and
close attension to etc-update. defaultdelivery has changed, and if you
used .forward files previously without a .qmail file for each user that
had them, mail delivery may act differently.

If you used SMTP AUTH previously, please pay attension as well, as it
now acts somewhat differently. The outgoing portion of the SMTP AUTH may
change further still (see smtproutes for it currently).
