[gentoo-dev] help needed patching kdebase 3.1.4

Hello List,

I'm trying to build a customize version of kdebase-3.1.4.ebuild (with kwin & 
icon shadows,) but kdesktop stops telling me that I need to run aclocal and 
automake (a mismatch version issue.)

After I've modified the ebuild to run aclocal and automake, I get the results 
below. Can anyone help me with this?

kde-3.1.x autotool config is extremely tricky and broken. Part of the problem 
is that the automatic rebuilding script does not properly detect the right 
versions of automake/autoconf. Having configure and friends properly 
generated without warnings is essential.
