Hi

I am in charge of the nagios-based monitoring and would like to close some
bugs which have been sitting for sometime. I guess my mentor, Kurt is busy
and has not responded to me yet. But, I realised that the Nagios ebuilds in
the portage currently are not good at all. And, I dont have access to
cvs.gentoo.org so how do I go about closing these bugs?

Cheers,
Jasmine

One way would be to post the fixed ebuilds into a bug (or into the bugs
they solve). Unfortunately, without the help of a developer with CVS
access, you can't do much other than that.

Hi

Hmm.. I am a gentoo developer for nagios if you take a look at the 4th August
GWN :-)
Don't all developers get CVS access?

Well, until you get your cvs issues sorted out, I can help out since I use
nagios at work.

Yes, once you have completed your trial period and passed the quiz, you
should have access added, along with your @gentoo.org email address. If
you are still in your trial period, then all your commits to CVS must be
made through another developer (preferably your mentor) until your trial
period is over.

If you should have access to CVS and do not, then you should contact
klieber or seemant and get your access added.

The quiz is sent to you by aliz (I think). The trial period is a
minimum of 2 weeks where you should be submitting all of your patches to
your mentor for them to check over and commit. At least that's how it
was for me.
