[gentoo-dev] heads up: editing herds.xml

Hi all,

just wanted to make you aware that files like herds.xml should better
be validated using xmllint before committing. Just added the video herd
and noticed that the file was broken in several places. Seems like nobody
validated it for quite some time.

According to the log, that was revision 1.60. I had the problems
with revision 1.71. Must be somewhere in between, don't want
to blame someone special - do that yourself :-)

Just everyone make sure that you validate using
"xmllint --valid herds.xml" so that the file gets validated against the
DTD. Without the valid argument xmllint just checks on wellformedness of
the file, and not on validness.
