I'd join and say that I'd really like to see such a feature as well. Currently
I keep a list in /var/db/warning-rebuild that says
vpopmail USE=-mysql
courier-imap USE=-mysql
because these two packages become hardly usable (in my setup) if compiled with
mysql support.
