I did this so far: #REGISTER .* MKOLDCOMPAT #UNREGISTER .* RMOLDCOMPAT REGISTER hd* MKOLDCOMPAT UNREGISTER hd* RMOLDCOMPAT This makes hd* available (I think /dev/ide/host.... is way to long to type = :-) It worked nice except that in my everyday workstatition, I need to register= =20 dsp, mixer, and md.
