I have not taken the time to remove them all, but for example a symlink you know that you do not use can be disabled in /etc/devfsd like so: REGISTER ^floppy IGNORE This goes at the beginning of the devfsd.conf, before these lines: REGISTER .* MKOLDCOMPAT UNREGISTER .* RMOLDCOMPAT REGISTER .* MKNEWCOMPAT UNREGISTER .* RMNEWCOMPAT I haven't looked at the source to know which of these I can do away with yet, so my devfsd.conf is getting large. I do intend to eventually be able to remove both. - -- Joseph Carter Bush is a war criminal! "Whenever I watch TV and see those poor starving kids all over the world, I can't help but cry.
