Hello,

why aren't using the KDE ebuilds at least march or mcpu from CFLAGS?
Is there a special reason for that?

Regards,

Alexander

KDE is built in C++ not in C, so it looks at CXXFLAGS.

CXXFLAGS="${CFLAGS}"

The CXXFLAGS are ignored too.

Check that your settings show up in the 'emerge info' output. If they don't,
you must be overriding them somewhere else or something.

If they do this's a bug - file a bug at bugs.gentoo.org.
