Hi !
It seems there are some typo in severals ebuilds.
especially in :
the gdk-pixbuf : lacks a '}' at the end of the ebuild
KEYWORDS has become KEYWORDSRDS
jpeg-6b-r2 : lacks a '}' at the end of the ebuild
there is a ${D} inside a ${D} (something like ${D${D}}
freetype-2.1.2-r1.ebuild,
freetype-2.1.2.ebuild,
giflib-4.1.0-r3.ebuild, ...
are also broken
maybe something is wrong with me... i'm asking me the question :-(

Somebody mentioned something about this before, and cvs was mentioned. I think
it was suspected that it was network errors. Not really a very good answer, but
that is all I remeber really. You could try doing a --sync and seeing if they
are still there. If they are, then you could probably post some patches into
bugzilla and I'm sure they would be welcome.

It's actually a rsync problem.
For the original poster: can you tell us what rsync mirror you used
before this occured? If you know what it is, please file a bug and
assign it to mirror-admin@gentoo.org.

What helped me in this is to remove all offending files in /usr/portage (or
just all files alltogether) and sync again. For some way rsync doesn't detect
these files as being wrong, or just syncs them wrong again. Trying different
mirrors didn't help me at all.

Hi !
after 3 or 4 'emerge sync', my portage tree is now clean.
I tried to find the faulty sync server, but i didn't succes.
I have had a look in /var/log/portage.log but sync server used are$not logged (here ?)
Is this information logged somewhere ?
regards,
sylvain
