I never mentioned xaa in my XF86Config file (nor do I have any modules loaded that explicitly implies xaa), but: (II) Loading sub module "xaa" (II) LoadModule: "xaa" (II) Loading /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/libxaa.a (II) Module xaa: vendor="The XFree86 Project" compiled for 4.2.1, module version = 1.0.0 ABI class: XFree86 Video Driver, version 0.5 It still loads it. AFAICR the newer 4191 didn't. I also went back to 3123. This behaviour is also mentioned in the forum. I do hope the newer drivers in the 4x series get better though.
