Hi,

I just wanted to install a "bleeding edge" gentoo testing system with
the "ACCEPT KEYWORDS ~x86" enabled!

I started from Stage1 Tar ball. After the bootstrap process, I launched a
"emerge --update --emptytree system" to get all the newest versions and the new
glibc etc. This process worked fine for me.

After that I emerged gentoo-sources

I was now trying to "emerge kde", but the emerge of alsa-driver (09.0rc5) fails!

Has anyone an Idea what causes this behaviour or why the mentioned file is
missing and how I can install it? / or how to fix this? (Or is this a problem
with the new glibc version?)

Thank you in advance.

Flo

Yes

You're welcome

This means you didn't configure your kernel yet. So it cannot find this file
as it is autogenerated on configuration of your kernel (so that there's only
one file (the makefile) where the kernel version is stored)
