Tcl/Tk 8.4.0 was released on Sept 10th, with scripted document support, virtual file systems "everywhere", and greatly improved speed... but Gentoo still uses Tcl/Tk 8.3 --- maybe because of a freeze on new ebuilds, or maybe because the developers are Pythons and not paying attention to TCL :-<
