Can someone look at those headers and figure out where the mail came
from? It seems like it traveled a perfectly legitimate path, but I
cannot really see where it came from before hitting parrot.gentoo.org
(shell account?).

And just so everyone knows, this cannot be from my system. I only run one
Win2k desktop, and I keep the thing pretty clean. This has to be someone else
on this list infected and using my name from their address book :P

Well, it seems I've gotten a few of the same sorts of emails from both
Kumba and Gustavoz...except the ones from Gustavoz came directly instead
of going through hte listserv.
From the header:
from cpe.atm4-0-1331216.0x50a3651a.arcnxx8.customer.tele.dk
([80.163.101.26] helo=G5MJM0J.net) by smtp.gentoo.org with smtp (Exim
4.41) id 1COzAV-0007ME-C5 for geoman@gentoo.org; Tue, 02 Nov 2004
13:57:53 +0000
So, who the hell is in Denmark, with me, gustavoz, gentoo-mips@,
gentoo-dev@, and kumba in their their address book that runs windows?

I've been getting them from the same user for the last few days, some going
to kernel@ and some to me directly (taviso@).

Would it be possible to reject/discard emails with
application/octet-stream attachments for this list (or all lists)?

In the beginning, there was nothing. And God said, 'Let there be
Light.' And there was still nothing, but you could see a bit better.

I can only second that request.
Anyone who sends those attachments by intention deserves being burn
anyway.

Would be a great idea since normal no-text-attachements are quiet big
and cause a lot of traffic.

Hm, I'd say "privileges" is "privileges", not "privleges" :)
