hi,

i need more testers for updated flightgear ebuilds (should solve
some issues with gentoo 1.4/gcc 3.2).

how to test flightgear:

requirements: for using flightgear, you need a properly set up
graphics board capable of opengl (nvidia driver is fine, mesa
should work too but was not tested yet)

0.) emerge rsync
1.) extract
http://www.icu.unizh.ch/~mettlerd/gentoo/files/FlightGear-0.7.10_gentoo_2in1.tgz
to /usr/portage
2.) emerge FlightGear
3.) execute 'fgfs' or 'fgfs --enable-game-mode'

please report bugs *and successful builds* to bugzilla

this is the usual problem with too "many" people accessing the fg
ftp site at the same time. either retry until you get access or
download the required source tarballs

re all,

there are updated simgear and flightgear ebuilds available. these
include a fix to make them build on boxes having a
/usr/local/include directory and using gcc >= 3.1. thus, if you
encountered the error message "plib/pu.h not found" with the
previous ebuilds you should try it again with the new ones.
