Rumors are also saying that metacity will be the default gnome2 WM, and that the sawfish development will be dropped.... Who knows.

rumour. 

I've been in touch with the release team and they have recieved the bug
reports now, should be some progress..
 it seems the sawfish maintainer is Missing In Action for now, vacancy
for any lisp haxor out there ;)
