hi,

what is the average turnaround on ebuilds?
i mean, if i submit a new ebuild, about how
long should i expect it to take before it
makes it into CVS? two weeks? two months?
six months?

not complaining, just curious.

ryan

From few weeks to over a month I would say. Sometimes faster for really
sweet stuff, if submitted away from any "major" updates etc.
Interested in bringing this time down? Please take a look at bug #1523 and
help me out ;).

Some of the ebuilds I created were in CVS after just a few hours, others took
weeks...
If you create proper ebuilds that use the latest skel.ebuild as a template,
checks USE-variables, has proper DEPEND and RDEPEND variables, installs all
documentation using dodoc, doman etc, it will be there much than if you try
to hack together your own nonstandard version..
