well, I've just made a gentoo 1.2 system bootstrap with gcc 3.1 (gcc3
profile) 

the bootstrap went bad due to texinfo and so on and so on, but I could
finish it using emerge  by hand (after ripping texinfo from gcc 3.1) 

Now, I've started #emerge system, and the first thing that doesn't work
is perl..

Im not sure if I can get this working, but I'll try, if not I'll get
back. all ideas/patches are appreciated.
