Hi,

the qmail-ebuild doesn't support tls.
I would be happy if it would.
The following URI ist a link to a tls-patch for qmail:

It would be nice, if USE="ssl" is set, a make cert, which makes a
self-signed cert, will be executed.

If you know about all of this, just make it yourself and file a bug report 
with patches attached. This will help get it into portage sooner.
