Hi,

we have started a mirror of the Gentoo Linux at our ftp server.
Take a look at ftp:// or http://filepile.tiscali.de/mirror/gentoo/

Maybe you want to add this server to your mirrorlist.  Server is located in 
Germany, Frankfurt and got a 100Mbit uplink.

[gentoo-dev] Cups 1.1.9 MD5 sum incorect

Tried to compile ImageMagick wich caused cups to be installed as an depenecy, but the MD5 sum for cups-1.1.9 is incorecct, unpacked the tarball without any trailing garbage or corruptness what so ever... so... that should be changed...

Hi Claes, thank you for the report, I fixed the digest on cvs, eighter
you rsync your portage tree or you cd into
the cups dir and run ebuidl cups-1.1.9.ebuild digest (this will
regenerate the digest for your downloaded tarball).

Hi, i almost have my server up:[it's actually up, i just have to take it to the datacenter ,15Min on th subway] 
gentoo rc5 ....
on a PIII / 512M 18G ... on a 10M backbone in Paris, i made it with the idea of putting it to work one for the Gentoo, two for reiserfs and some other stuff ...
So i'm asking the autorization to mirror the gentoo Dist and would like "why not" some advice ... just in case i'll be missing some thing ... looks like the standard is rsync .... they'll be pure-ftpd too of course ...

bref: tell me guys what u think --- it will be an honor for me to do it !

Sure; that'd be great.  For now, you'll want to pull everything from ibiblio.org.
Please let me know when it's up so that I can add a link to it in www.gentoo.org.
