As this is my= =20 first post I thought I should thank everyone for the effort. Now to my question. In the nvidia-kernel ebuild, the kernel module is pla= ced=20 in /lib/modules/{kernel-version}/kernel/video This means that a recompiled kernel, specifically a make modules_install = will=20 overwrite the NVdriver file in /lib/modules/{kernel-version}/kernel/video Wouldn't a more appropriate place be /lib/modules/{kernel-version}/video = like=20 the alsa modules go into /lib/modules/{kernel-version}/misc ??? Just a thought. Have a great day. - --=20 David Mott "The moral of the story is that with a contrived example, you can prove=20 anything. Oops.
