Hi all,
Now that we're approaching the Gentoo Linux 1.0 release, it's time to
start thinking about Gentoo Linux release get-togethers and events.
What do you think about this option? AmigaExpo 2002 will be running
from March 29 to 31 in Baltimore, Maryland and may be a good place/time
to release Gentoo Linux .10. It is not a huge expo, but will have lots
of interesting exhibitors, including:
Andy Finkel, co-designer of the AmigaOS
Hyperion Entertainment, Linux game developers and porters of
SiN for Linux and Shogo for Linux
Extreme Computing, demoing their supposedly nightmarishly fast AmigaXL
Amiga emulator for the PC. It is built on top of QNX
QNX (www.qnx.org) will be there too.
And of course a good amount of next-gen Amiga stuff. Seems to be a big
emphasis on emulation (MAME) and retro stuff.
Would anyone be interested in attending/helping out if we choose to
attend this expo? More info at www.amigaexpo.com.
Best Regards,

Don't think I can afford going there :(
It would have been very nice getting together and celebrating 1.0 though
:)
Can we meet in Europe? :))

Yeah, I got the same problem... Why don't all of you guys come to Norway/Sweden
i stead? ;)
BTW, haven't done anything productively on the Secure Gentoo idea yet, other
than planning (I've got it all in here! *pointing towards my head*), because the
ADSL guys haven't sent me my modem yet... :-/ I'll get something done after the
24. though.
