I found no package, which provides this library in /usr/lib, but i found
a static library in a subdirectory of /usr/lib (/usr/lib/python/... ? sorry,
but my gentoo-machine is currently not running and i don't want to start
it to look for this library). I created a link to this library in the
directory /usr/lib (shure, a dirty hack, but IIRC solved that this
problem for me).

The static library mentioned above has the name libpython2.2.a
I didn't find a shared version of this library.
