To be more precise:

The error sounds:

These are the packages that I would merge, in order.

Calculating dependencies.

!!! Portage had a problem processing this file:
!!! /usr/portage/sys-devel/gcc/gcc-2.95.3-r4.ebuild

/usr/sbin/ebuild.sh: /usr/portage/sys-devel/gcc/gcc-2.95.3-r4.ebuild: line
158: syntax error near unexpected token `done'
/usr/sbin/ebuild.sh: /usr/portage/sys-devel/gcc/gcc-2.95.3-r4.ebuild: line
158: ` done'

!!! aborting.

!!! emerge aborting.

This happens during bootstrap.... I'm helpless...

Looks like drobbins took care of this already.

Hello all

I am having a problem with the bootstrap step. when I run the
scripts/bootstrap command the process starts but fails quickly with;

Calculating dependencies. done!
!!! Error : circular dependencies
Calculating dependencies .Traceback (most recent call last):
   File "/usr/sbin/emerge", line 520, in ?
    mydepgraph.create(mytype+" "+portage.root+" "+mykey,None"--onlydeps not
in myopts)
TypeError: cannot add type "int" to string

Anyone seen this before?

Thanks

Jan

i'm pretty sure this simply is a problem in the new version of portage. I
think you should be able to work the magic manually though, and put in the
version previous to the new one (1.6.12 is the newest). The new version is
failing for me too...
