Subject: [gentoo-dev] rc6:emerge system ignores "packages" ?
Date: Fri Sep 7 10:58:02 2001 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <200109071656.f87Gud212974@mailgate5.cinetic.de> (raw)
hi !
i'm really stuck !
did a bootstrap with the rc6 using the iso-image,
which i enhanced with a snapshot of my portage-tree.
the bootstrap worked fine.
then i edited packages to my needs.
but emerge --pretend system keeps telling me
that it's about to merge things like xfree -
and that's just plain ridiculous for a base system.
so, do i have to merge everything by hand in order ?
any clues ?
thanks and ciao
peter
