any chance to "upgrade" from a -r10 image ?
i just can't afford to download those even relatively small
images all the time...
i wouldn't mind keeping my machine busy with compilations though.
btw, did the mkisofs options change since _rc5 ?
just because i wanna put a snapshot of my portage-tree
(including the distfiles)
on the bootable cd as well.
thanks and ciao

These CD's are just basically refinements to the install process, nothing
more. If you use -r11 you are not necessarily getting a newer system than
if you used the -r10 iso. Both ISOs contain the -r7 build image. However,
sometimes I *will* update bootstrap.sh and the bootstrap files, which does
result in a newer system for some people. For example, you probably have
baselayout 1.6.1, but anyone who installs today will get baselayout 1.6.2
which contains slightly improved system initialization scripts.

No; it should be the same as rc5, except that the kernel is at /isolinux/kernel
and the initrd is at /isolinux/rescue.gz.

Hi All,
The Gentoo Linux 1.0_rc6-r11 build ISO is now available at:
http://www.ibiblio.org/gentoo/snapshots/build/ix86-linux-gnu/
Changes since 1.0_rc6-r10:
* Updated from isolinux 1.62 to 1.63
* Addition of dhcpcd, ifconfig and route to the initrd
* Upgrade to glibc 2.2.4 (full version) on the initrd
* modprobe, insmod now work! (they were broken in -r10)
Best Regards,
