[gentoo-dev] Problems with 586 cd

I  noticed in dev-wiki that there is an open item about booting the i586 cd.

I just booted it on a Pentium III based system, (Coppermine 1Ghz) and it
booted just fine, I was wondering could there be some non 586 compatible
stuff in the kernel or usr.iso file ?? I noticed they are one and the same
for both the 686 and 586 build scripts.

It is possible.  I don't have a 586 system here to test.
