[gentoo-dev] Ximianability

Does anyone know if Gentoo is ximianable? Please don't take me for another one of those gnome people, I just like to experiment :) The ximian.com website has lots of different downloads for different distributions, but they don't seem to have a nice source compilation option nor a 'generic linux' install of any kind.
