Noted. But under Gentoo, /var/mail shouldn't exist. Gentoo standard is
to have all mail delivered to ${HOME}/.maildir.
When I begin cleaning up the MTA's I'll make sure that the MTA's deliver
to the correct locations.
Wait a minute. It's coming back to me. I remember creating a default
/etc/postfix/main.cf that sets "home_mailbox = .maildir/". That should
force postfix to deliver to ~/.maildir in maildir format.
You didn't by any chance change this?
I think that this is more of a documentation bug... I guess we need to
better communicate the things that Gentoo does differently on a FS
basis.
