After emergeing the binary kdebase package on my rc5 system
(rc5 installed either from the binary i686 CD or from the
build CD) I find that when logging in as a user I am missing
several of the icons in the panel that show up when logging
in as root (the konsole, kwrite, konqueror, etc icons) and
konsole doesn't seem to be using the "--login" option that
I added to /opt/kde2.1/bin/startkde (meaning that /etc/profile
isn't sourced, although it _does_ get sourced when I log into
KDE as root). Achim doesn't have this problem, although I don't
know if he was using an rc5 system when he tested. Is anybody
else having this problem?
Thanks,
Grant
