My question is, is reiserfs in 2.4.1-pre8, or do I > have to get some patch? I configured using the menuconfig option, > but I did not see reiserfs in the list. Reiserfs is enabled in our default kernel. If you compile your own kernel, you need to make sure that you enable it too. It's located under the "filesystems" category under menuconfig, and is about 3 or 4 items down on the list. Of course, make sure that it's compiled in to the kernel rather than being installed as a module. Also, your problem could be related to you specifying the wrong "root=/dev/hd??" option to GRUB. You could double-check this as well. Best Regards, -- Daniel Robbins President/CEO http://www.gentoo.org Gentoo Technologies, Inc.
