As far as I know there are some minor issues with php5. If you have allready 
got php5 running they probably don't apply to you (you'd have noticed) so you 
can go on to use the latest greatest php 5 version.

What problem are you speaking about ?  Please be more specific.

Then wait until they go stable.

Then use testing and unmask mod_php-5.  If it breaks, you get to keep the 
pieces however.

It should be, though don't quote me on that - read the comment along with the 
mask and make up your own mind.

Hello!

How is the current status of the apache problem?

I'm unable to install any new version of PHP5 and apache, because all are
masked.

I need to recompile the php5 module.

Is it safe to ignore the package mask? It think it is there for a reason!
