You need the latest portagemaster, since the old version is not compatible
with portage 2.0.25 and higher. Get the new ebuils from bugzilla:
http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6123

Personally, I needed a newer version of Ant as well:
http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=5614
