Subject: [gentoo-dev] OT: pipe all logs to logger
Date: Wed, 26 Jun 2002 09:49:23 -0500 (CDT) [thread overview]
Message-ID: <1273.128.252.21.209.1025102963.squirrel@rig.dyndns.ws> (raw)
I'd to have all programs log thru my system logger (syslog-ng). This
includes X, samba, apache, and anything else that makes logs in /var/log.
Is there an easy way to do this or do I need to go into each prog's config
file and somehow define the log file to be /dev/log. If it's the second
option, does anyone know how to do that for common daemons and programs
like X, samba, and apache.
Jacob
