So long as glibc/gcc/etc still work on i586, we'll still provide the ability to use it on those machines. That doesn't mean we'll "support" it. It's like GCC 2.x, which is still in the tree. It's there. It's usable. It's totally unsupported. --=20 Chris Gianelloni Release Engineering Strategic Lead Alpha/AMD64/x86 Architecture Teams Games Developer/Council Member/Foundation Trustee Gentoo Foundation --=-9RZtjua6ggkDyFMHR1H7 Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name=signature.asc Content-Description: This is a digitally signed message part -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.5 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQBFK8oakT4lNIS36YERArT0AKCb3F8OB17DOo/wG5MikcXWNlmKfwCeOE98 kTjw3XI8Mq7BJ9XwusgiST8= =BYvD -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --=-9RZtjua6ggkDyFMHR1H7-- -- gentoo-dev@gentoo.org mailing list
