Really? Who? You haven't spoken to anyone that I've asked in #gentoo-releng. You haven't spoken to anyone on the genkernel or catalyst development teams. Who exactly is it that you're talking to about this? Anyway, I'm not saying I dislike the idea. I'm just sick of new "projects" spawning off without being thought out in the least, and making us all look like jackasses. Is it honestly going to be the new "tradition" that every single new project that starts out is going to be completely undiscussed, poorly thought-out, poorly implemented, and cause us all to look like a bunch of fools for weeks on end before it *finally* gets into a half-way workable state? What ever happened to *talking* about something before going off and announcing it to the world as if it's some kind of completed project and ready for public consumption? Why is it necessary to even... *sigh* Nevermind. I apologise to everyone for my responses to this. I'm done. -- Chris Gianelloni Release Engineering Strategic Lead Alpha/AMD64/x86 Architecture Teams Games Developer/Council Member/Foundation Trustee Gentoo Foundation
