Yes one more extention for mozilla ebuilds, and possible others. The
purpose behind the eclass is to allow us a way to install locales for
firefox/thunderbird/firefox-bin/thunderbird-bin without causing a major
headache.

The eclass is derived from work from a forums user that has done much
work with me on firefox-1.5 ebuild and eclasses. Genstef had a big hand
in bring locale support to mozilla products.

Once thunderbird 1.5 comes out same will be done for locales support in
ebuilds. I am gonna push this eclass rather fast as it benefits so many
users/devs. Any objections should be made immediately, 1200 CST Monday
Dec. 26, 2005 this will be pushed into the tree.

Don't push new eclasses this fast please and especially not during
christmas when many people are taking a few days off.

Why is it so important that it can't wait a few days so other devs/users
gets a chance to look at it?

I second that, why does it need to be implemented so fast? Seems like
we've been doing fine without for a while now, having to push it in a
day makes no sense to me. Please use some common sense next time when
doing things like this.

I tested the mozilla-firefox-1.5-r5 ebuild and the mozextension eclass
earlier today.

With LINGUAS="de en", firefox built and appears to work just as well as
the current ebuilds in portage do.  All my installed extensions also
continued to work as expected.  The only difference is that the
interface is now in German.

+ipv6 +java -mozdevelop +xinerama -xprint" 0 kB [1]

There is one issue that I can see with this (which Anarchy mentioned on
irc), firefox ignores the locale environment variables.  This means that
firefox will always run in whatever language is listed first in LINGUAS.
