I tested the mozilla-firefox-1.5-r5 ebuild and the mozextension eclass
earlier today.

With LINGUAS="de en", firefox built and appears to work just as well as
the current ebuilds in portage do.  All my installed extensions also
continued to work as expected.  The only difference is that the
interface is now in German.

[ebuild   R   ] www-client/mozilla-firefox-1.5-r5  USE="-debug +gnome
+ipv6 +java -mozdevelop +xinerama -xprint" 0 kB [1]

There is one issue that I can see with this (which Anarchy mentioned on
irc), firefox ignores the locale environment variables.  This means that
firefox will always run in whatever language is listed first in LINGUAS.
