To all,
This is just an 7-8 hour warning for the coming downtime of
bugs.gentoo.org for upgrade. I plan to upgrade bugzilla the morning
(EDT) of December 7th. I plan on alotting 30 minutes for the upgrade,
although those in the past who have suffered through my upgrades, know
they have gone much quicker if I do not hit any issues. I will send out
a one hour reminder before bugs.g.o comes down. At the time of the
upgrade, I will bring down our current buzilla, backup the database,
copy over the new install, run some sanity checks, and then open it back
up to the world.
For some background information:
It is currently running 2.18.3, and I have since been running Mozilla's
latest stable release of Bugzilla, 2.20 in my test environment[1]
There is currently a metabug set up[2] in which I have been taking
questions and comments about any outstanding issues related to the test
environment. I advise those who have accounts on the bugstest.g.o
environment (it is an old snapshot of the bugs.g.o database, so newer
accounts may not be present) to make sure I have not forgotten to
fix/customize anything to our current environment's specifications.
Disclaimer for Gentoo dev's: This is your time to complain about
anything and everything you do not like about the Bugzilla. $Diety
willing, a flame war will erupt and mass hysteria will commence,
preventing any further Bugzilla upgrades in the future.
Once again, bugs.g.o downtime around 930-1030am EDT, depending on when I
wake up, check the metabug, make breakfast and sit myself back down at
my workstation. It should take less than 30 minutes, bearing I do not
hit any snafus.

I guess next time, it would be nice to have the correct date in the
original email.
Thanks,
Donnie
