The package is currently masked. To unmask it, run the following command: echo '~app-admin/webapp-config-1.50' >> /etc/portage/package.unmask This version, developed by Gunnar Wrobel and Renat Lumpau, is a port to Python. This version of webapp-config is as fast as Portage itself (or faster, if /usr/share/webapps and /var/www are on the same filesystem), and addresses all reported bugs. You can find the authors in #gentoo-web. But is this some sort of joke? Using the words 'portage' and 'fast' in the same sentence somehow seems like an oxymoron. portage is _powerful_ but it's anything but fast. Anyway cool to hear that a new version is out. good luck brave testers. -- Ned Ludd <solar@gentoo.org> Gentoo Linux -- gentoo-dev@gentoo.org mailing list ^ permalink raw reply [flat|nested] 3+ messages in thread

No, but it *is* a benchmark that everyone can relate to. And it's magnitudes faster than my original bash version of webapp-config ;-) Best regards, Stu -- Stuart Herbert stuart@gentoo.org Gentoo Developer http://www.gentoo.org/ http://stu.gnqs.org/diary/ GnuGP key id# F9AFC57C available from http://pgp.mit.edu Key fingerprint = 31FB 50D4 1F88 E227 F319 C549 0C2F 80BA F9AF C57C -- [-- Attachment #2: This is a digitally signed message part --] [-- Type: application/pgp-signature, Size: 189 bytes --] ^ permalink raw reply [flat|nested] 3+ messages in thread
