Hi all,

Just a quick heads-up that starting with baselayout-1.11.13 and the
revision bumps I just committed for net-wireless/wireless-tools and
net-wireless/wpa_supplicant, those utilities will install to / instead
of /usr/, allowing people to mount /usr over an IEEE 802.11 wireless LAN
(bug #96654).

Any applications that have hard-coded paths to either the wireless-tools
or the wpa_supplicant binaries will have to be changed to work with this
change.

Regards,
Brix

Why not just make symlinks in /usr so this is transparent to everybody?
