What's what open source is for? Spending your time fixing other people's
broken code so that it works on your arch, when there's a rock-solid
alternative that already works better and has done for years? As for
proper xattrs, it's another of those cases where it's not worth fixing
reiser when ext3 (or xfs, of course) works perfectly well.
