Both aree important to me. I have a small environment of Debian boxes, about 10 Debian servers (ranging from woody to sarge) and about 15 Debian workstations all using sarge (but the latter is out of scope in this discussion). Knowing that without reinstalling, i could install much more recent (but still stable) software would be a nice added value. > - knowing that Gentoo does regression testing of security updates & major= =20 > bugfixes back through old (but supported) releases before committing. Does this mean that security updates will take longer to get into the server version of gentoo ? I'll be following that GLEP and see what can be done, i'm willing to dedicate some time on helping that project to see the light :) Steph --=20 This mail was sent under Gentoo 2004.1 - Gnome & Kernel 2.6nptl http://frlinux.net - Site d'aide aux Debutants sous Linux Public key : http://frlinux.net/files/frlinux_public_key.asc --=-8gozIac3tHLg2FPxKyYB Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name=signature.asc Content-Description: This is a digitally signed message part -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.4 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQBA/q8GplbM2wjOZgMRAha8AJ0XsedaU6YfE9wB/OuNr+kbWOMVPwCgjzig H0zhcDepXpZnCtFuqesQ/XU= =LYNU -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --=-8gozIac3tHLg2FPxKyYB--
