I think your intent is good (and thankyou), I was only concerned with the implementation/access :-) FYI: The university where I recently worked (Australia, subject to Privacy Act 2000) had staff information pages which where controlled by each staff member. Each staff member selected what information they wanted to disclose and posted it themselves. All requests for staff information (eg name, email address) from (eg) students were referred to the relevant page. This policy avoided accidental or intentional disclose of personal information. If, for example, gentoo wanted to use such information in, say the weekly news letter, the newsletter writer could refer to the relevant page and see what info was available for use.
