Like for instance, if the line in question begins with '#' it should automerge (obviously there may be some exceptions to this, but I think the concept has merit). etc-update should also ignore changes to lines that begin with "USE=", "CFLAGS=", "CXXFLAGS=", "GENTOO_MIRRORS=", etc. These are lines that almost everyone changes and there is no reason to "update" them unless the format of make.conf changes, and then we can make an exception. -- Nathaniel McCallum npmccallum@users.sourceforge.net http://glis.sourceforge.net -- gentoo-dev@gentoo.org mailing list
